What's Jay Say: BHO's Moral Confusion

There were two revealing stories about President Obama in the same day's paper. In the first, the White House defended its effort to sway Democrat Andrew Romanoff from the U.S. Senate race. His defense was that everybody does it. Doesn't that sound like a response you would get from your teenager? In the second story, Obama objected to the tough immigration law that Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed by calling it discriminatory. It does in fact discriminate -- against those who entered our country illegally. Both articles point to the Obama proclivity to call evil good and good evil, as the Bible might put it. (Source: 6/4/10 Denver Post)

What's Jay Say: Crises & Cleavers

The oil spill in the Gulf has created a mess. President Obama expressed outrage that no company is willing to take responsibility. In a litigious environment, that is not surprising. Rather than take leadership to discover what caused the problem and what can do to prevent another occurrence, Obama expressed anger at the oil companies. It is another crisis that Obama will not let go to waste, but use it for his ideological agenda. And meanwhile... ===========================

Those who favor strict gun laws should look to China, which strictly controls guns. As a result, guns are not used for mass murders. Instead, other means are used such as hacking bludgeoning and burning. Many of these attacks are made on defenseless school children. The most recent occurrence was a 48 year old man who used a meat cleaver to kill seven children and two adults before killing himself. If guns are banned, as some advocate, the killings would continue without the victims having any defense. Is that what we want in our country?

What's Jay Say: Eruptions & Abortions

The Icelandic volcano may be old news for some, but the flights in and out of Ireland have been cancelled for several days due to the smoke. It is a reminder: "May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works, who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke!" (Psalms 104:31-32). When we forget that God made heaven and earth and all of us, a small volcano can bring us back to reality. ===================

The Denver Post printed some great pictures for its movie review of "Babies," May 7. What a shame each day, that 3,000 babies in the womb in the U.S. are being denied the opportunity to crawl or contribute -- as they will be killed in the womb by abortions.

What's Jay say? Woods, cells, pets

Jay Says One: Gov. Bill Ritter signed a law that expands civil protection orders to include threats or acts of violence against pets. Pets? This is the same governor who has supported the killing of unborn babies in the womb. Why would an individual or a society want to protect animals, but not human beings? Jay Says Two: The Food and Drug Administration is putting the pinch on adult stem cell therapy that uses the patient's own stem cells. This procedure has been very effective. However, embryonic stem cell research, which requires the killing of of a baby in its earliest form, has been approved. The irony is that there has been private sector funding of embryonic stem-cell research, but it has failed to produce results. Why is our government so intent on killing babies?

Jay Says Three: After Brit Hume's son committed suicide, Brit recognized his need and yielded his life to Jesus Christ. He encouraged Tiger Woods to consider "the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith." Then, there was a firestorm of criticism. On the live coverage of the Masters, Tiger was so upset with his play that he cursed using the name of Jesus Christ on national television. Will there be the same sort of outburst against Tiger Woods for using the name of God the Son in vain?
