Bible Monday 11/18: Suit Up

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 48:1-14. Verses 2 and 8, is it possible for me to dwell spiritually in the city of God here and now, no waiting? To grow in that direction, how must I pray, think, and act?

Isaiah 23:1-18. Related, Tyre as a city of wealth, commerce, influence, and glamor—but doomed. How do materialism, commercialize, and technology tend to crowd out God in our times? Action point for me?

Revelation 3:1-13. Verses 4 and 5, when God desires me to be clothed in white, what does that mean in practical everyday terms?

Luke 20:45-21:6. As I give of myself as an expression of love to God and neighbor, what does Jesus see me holding back?
