Bible Thursday 1/2: Adam or Christ?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 3:1-8. Verse 5, shall I entrust to God, starting today, all the issues related to my sleeping and waking, in order that I may be better prepared to serve him?

Genesis 2:1-25. Verses 2 and 3, in the coming year, how can I more fully honor the inheritance of Sabbath rest that God has given us?

I Corinthians 15:35-49. How does the corruption I inherited from Adam show up in my everyday life? How am I experiencing more and more of the incorruption that Christ won for me? Action point for 2025?

John 1:19-34. Related, baptism by the Holy Spirit. Thinking about what others expect from me here and now, how does the Spirit empower me to succeed? How does the Spirit protect me from failure?
