Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 100:1-5. Verse 1, serve the Lord with gladness. Suppose I made this my test for everything I think, say, or do today: “How does this serve you, O God?”
Isaiah 44:1-28. Verse 22, God blots out my sins and transgressions. Specifically, what are those? What did I learn? How can I thank him today?
Revelation 16:1-11. Recognizing that the world situation is going to get much worse for Christians before it gets better, how shall I prepare—starting today?
Luke 23:1-12. Verse 12, how do false religion and false politics combine in seeking to annul the saving work of Jesus? What is to be done?
