Bible Tuesday 12/10: Every Knee and Tongue

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 103:1-22. Verse 13, when have I experienced God’s pity? Is it embarrassing to feel pitiful in his eyes? Why shouldn’t we indulge self-pity?

Isaiah 45:1-25. Verse 23, what would it look like, today more than yesterday, for me to truly bend the knee to God and swear allegiance to him?

Revelation 16:12-21. Verse 16, the titanic clash of God with his enemies at the Armageddon battlefield. What must I do to make myself battle-ready today?

Luke 23:13-25. Why has the worldly mind, down through the ages, favored Barabbas, apostle of death, over Jesus the Prince of peace? What is my church doing about it? My role?
