Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 139:1-24. Verses 13-16, what specific benefit comes to me or a loved one today from realizing that God forms and sustains my whole physical being, down to the level of cells, molecules, even atoms?
Isaiah 62:1-12. Verse 6, what’s expected of me today as a watchman on the walls of God’s holy city?
I John 1:1-7. The choice God offers me from moment to moment, between walking in the light of Christ or walking in darkness. In what form am I presented with that choice right now?
John 21:15-25. If I’m commanded by Jesus, much as he commanded Peter, to feed his sheep, what does that look like as I go about my daily activities?
