Bible Saturday 12/28: Wise Men Still Seek Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 143:1-12. Verse 8, cause me to hear your lovingkindness. To fulfill this, what qualities of attentiveness, receptivity, meekness, and listening am I asking God to express in me today?

Isaiah 63:1-19. Verse 9, shall I gather comfort, encouragement, and strength today from knowing that all my afflictions were already endured and overcome by Jesus our Savior?

Revelation 20:1-15. How can I fail to rejoice today, knowing that my name is written in God’s book of life?

Matthew 2:1-18. Will my thoughts and actions today be more like those of the wise men, who knew Jesus was the Way, or more like those of Herod and his forces, for whom Jesus was merely in the way?
